Super Mario Bros. Producer Responds To Chris Pratt Casting Backlash

Again in late September, the principle solid of Illumination’s animated Tremendous Mario Bros. film was introduced, and arguably the most important shock was that Chris Pratt had been chosen to play Mario himself. To say response to this casting selection was combined can be an understatement, with many feeling that the Guardians of the Galaxy actor isn’t the best match to voice Nintendo’s well-known Koopa and Goomba-stomping plumber. Now Illumination president Chris Meledandri, who’s a producer on the Tremendous Mario Bros. film, has responded to this backlash.

After describing the voice that Chris Pratt will use for his tackle Mario as “phenomenal,” right here’s what Chris Meledandri needed to say to TooFab in regards to the issues that the actor’s tackle the character’s over-the-top accent may very well be problematic:
