Denis Villeneuve would “deeply love” to direct a James Bond film

Denis Villeneuve has expressed his want to direct a James Bond movie, describing himself as “one of many greatest Bond followers”.

The Dune director, who has beforehand helmed the likes of Blade Runner 2049, Arrival and Prisoners, volunteered himself as the following Bond director throughout the Pleased Unhappy Confused podcast hosted by Josh Horowitz.

Talking on the present, Villeneuve stated: “Frankly – and I can not imagine I’d say that – however the reply could be an enormous sure. I’d deeply like to sooner or later make a James Bond film.

“What Daniel Craig delivered to Bond was so distinctive and powerful and possibly unmatchable. He’s the last word James Bond. I can’t wait to see Cary’s [Fukunaga] film. I’m very excited. I’m one of many greatest Bond followers.”

Craig made his remaining bow as James Bond in his fifth outing No Time To Die, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Regardless of his pleasure round helming a Bond movie, Villeneuve has a stacked schedule forward of him, with sci-fi epic Dune anticipated to be the primary of a two-part collection.
